Irene Miller: My Story of Survival

Holocaust survivor to discuss her journey of courage, determination and perseverance.

Irene Miller, a Holocaust survivor, author, speaker and educator, will discuss her journey of survival during a presentation scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 8, in the Oakland Center Founders Ballroom.

Miller’s journey included sleeping during the winter under an open sky, being a prisoner in a Siberian labor camp and foraging in Uzbekistan, living on boiled grass before malaria set in. Hers is a story of courage, determination, perseverance and the power of the human spirit.

Miller has been featured in the PBS documentary “Irene; Child of the Holocaust,” and “Shoah Ambassadors.” Signed copies of her book, "Into No Man's Land: A Historical Memoir," published by the University of Michigan, will be available at a discounted price of $15.
