Grant Seeking - Tips & Tricks

Join us for this practical workshop covering the basic elements and key success factors for grant seeking of foundations and corporate funds. This webinar will incorporate abstracts from a successfully funded grant request, as well as other "real world" grant seeking examples.  


Areas to be covered include:
  • strategically selecting grant seeking initiatives
  • determining your organizations readiness to seek a grant opportunity
  • researching foundation and corporate funders for a selected grant seeking initiative
  • effectively engaging/cultivating relationships with foundations and corporate funds for grant seeking
  • establishing a project plan/team to purse a targeted grant opportunity 
  • effectively writing/submitting an LOI (letter of intent, inquiry or interest) and grant proposal
  • best follow-up practices for awarded grants. 

Participants will:    
  • Learn about and be able to apply program mission ? margin matrixes to proactively stage/select prioritized key success initiatives within their organizations for grant seeking
  • Be able to use major fee-based and free resources to identify foundations, corporate funds and government sources for grant seeking
  • Learn the five R's of effective grant seeking and be able to apply them to a grant effort
 
Presented by:
Cameron Hosner, Director of Business Development/Strategic Initiatives, Easterseals Michigan. Cameron is responsible for leading assigned key business and organizational development initiatives for the organization. He joined Easterseals Michigan following an over 30-year career of proven executive management leadership in the nonprofit and for-profit health and human service sectors. Throughout his career, he has engaged in both governmental and private grant seeking activities.
